        They were earlier, but thankfully they’ve been gone for several hours now. The parental units very cleverly gave both the girls these awful electronic cash registers, which make a ridiculous amount of noise and which also have microphone/speaker thingies so they can make “announcements” about blue light specials and shit. I had to go hide from the din. Egad.

          Those are the sort of gifts I intend to mail to friends’ children. Electronic drum kits and whatnot. The important thing is that I don’t intend to be there when they’re opened.
